Debating Society

Posted on Oct 13, 2014

Broadland discussion group took their first steps towards becoming a debating society when they attended a workshop at Langley school on Tuesday October 8th. The group consisted of Mark Mills, Finnian Wheeler, Emma Leze, Kitty Davies, Bailey Tuddenham and Calum Parsons. They were given an absurd topic to argue – “All people wanting to be M.P.s should have 5 dogs” – and put their case so well that the other schools there passed the motion. The group have now been invited to an evening event consisting of supper and a formal debate afterwards.
