Spread over three days in glorious sunshine earlier this month, some 70+ year 10 geography students undertook fieldwork at Overstrand near Cromer to gather data as part of their Controlled Assessment. Students counted, measured, photographed, sketched and paced at three locations that would hopefully show the impact that sea defences have (or not) on this part of the coastline. The fieldwork was followed up by a full day in school where students could focus on getting their written work underway and be in a good position to complete it during subsequent lessons.
The students worked really hard throughout the three days and were really engaged with the work.
