Broadland High Students Graduate from Brilliant Club Scholars Programme

Posted on May 13, 2016

A huge congratulations goes to all of our Brilliant Club students who yesterday graduated from the Scholars Programme.

As part of the Brilliant Club Scholars Programme, students visit both the UEA and Cambridge University (Gonville and Caius Campus), gaining Information, Advice and Guidance on applying to top universities, as well as study skills that can help them prepare for the future.

In order to graduate, students received 6 tutorials from a current UEA PhD student (at school) and had to write a 2,000 word essay, which was graded in a University style. Our students worked on the topic “Under the Microscope: Tiny Organisms with a Huge Impact on Global Warming”.

Ethan Richmond, Duncan McMaster and Jessica Lofts all received a “first” grade for their excellent essays, becoming the first Broadland High students to earn this grade on the Brilliant Club Scholars Programme.

Well done to all students who participated.
