Broadland has established excellent relationships with the Shanghai No.2 Junior Middle School in China. In June of this year a group of nine students embarked on the second exchange trip, where they spent time in a Chinese school and stayed with host families. They had lessons in traditional Chinese games, calligraphy, paper cutting and Chinese knots. The students from both schools also shared music and dance performances.
Students saw such magnificent sights, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Lama temple in Beijing as well as the glittering, futuristic sky scrapers of modern Shanghai. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience and our students proved to be wonderful ambassadors for Broadland and Norfolk.
